On Saturday, September 27th, the Seven Step RPO Denver office had the opportunity to help out a great cause, as the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation held its annual gala downtown. While the SSR Cares team enjoyed the chance to rub elbows with some of Denver's business, government and civic elite, no one doubted for a moment it was the “why” of the event, not the “who,” that mattered most.... read more

Seven Step RPO is proud to give back to our communities through Seven Step Cares (SSR Cares) – a program that provides our employees a way to engage their unique talents and interests to benefit nonprofit organizations in the communities where we work and live. On Sunday, September 16, a team of Seven Step volunteers helped staff the 2012 MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K. MitoAction works to improve quality of life for patients and caregivers affected by mitochondrial disease. MitoAction makes strides in awareness and support through education, outreach and advocacy initiatives. The annual Energy Walk & 5K is an important (and fun!) facilitator of the organization's important work.
This year's walk was a great success. It was beautiful day in South Boston, and the turnout was great. Over 1,150 runners and walkers participated, and $130,000 was raised to support MitoAction's support, advocacy, and outreach programs! If you'd like to check out the full race results, please go here.
Also, MitoAction is keeping donations and team pages open for another few weeks in honor of Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week. If you'd like to contribute to MitoAction's important work, you can do so here.
Thanks again to the crew from Seven Step Cares, along with all the other volunteers, the organizers, the walkers, the runners, and the many supporting team members for being part of a great, important day!
The t-shirts have arrived, so it must be official. Seven Step Cares, our new community action program, kicks into gear this Sunday by volunteering at the 2012 MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K at Castle Island in South Boston. Check out this stylin' team of volunteers, modeling the latest in community-action street wear.
