Volvo Car Corp later this year will break ground on a $500 million factory in the U.S. and this deal could lead to 4,000 direct jobs in South Carolina, where unemployment is falling but remains higher than national rates. In recent years, we have seen the automotive industry be a front runner in increasing jobs nationally and internationally.
