Last Thursday night, September 6, Seven Step Cares sponsored the volunteer training and thank you party for the upcoming 2012 MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K. The session was held at the beautiful new offices of Riverside Partners in Boston. (Thank you, Riverside Partners!)
It was a great time for all involved. Volunteers for the Walk -- including a large number of Seven Steppers -- learned about the difficulty of living with mitochondrial disease and discussed MitoAction's goals for a successful event. The evening of shared commitment wrapped up with a lively wine tasting, just for fun.
This year's MitoAction Energy Walk & 5K will take place at Castle Island in South Boston on Sunday morning, September 16, with registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. To create a team or make a donation, please visit this page.
All of the Seven Step Cares volunteers for this year's MitoAction walk are definitely fired up and ready to go! Will you be joining them?
